Biography of Donato Soranno

Donato is a singer, a Tenor; a TV Producer and a recording artist.
He enhances any event by singing favorite arias and songs from
Opera, Operettas, Musical Theater, Standards, Old Time Favorites,
Inspirational /Religious category, and the International repertoire.
He touches the hearts and emotions of his audience as he sings in their
native languages: Italian, German, French, Spanish, Yiddish, Hebrew,
Russian, Latin and English. Donato is a frequent performer in the United
States and has sung various operatic roles with two opera companies
in Italy. He performed in over 40 opera productions and in
numerous concerts.

Donato's operatic roles include "Ferrando" in Cosi Fan Tutti; "Monostatos" in Die
Zauberflote; "Basilio and Don Curzio" in Le Nozze di Figaro; "Spiridione" in Il Campanello;
"Marco, Spinelloccio, and the Notaro" in Gianni Schicchi. Several roles were
performed with two opera companies in Italy. He appeared with the
Washington Concert Opera, Annapolis Opera, Summer Opera of Washington, Maryland
Lyric Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Opera Camerata, Opera
Bel Canto, National Lyric Opera, Washington Civic Opera, Opera International, and
Opera IV. He is the Director of the Cantanti Singing Ensemble and
the Gioia Duo. He studies voice with Dr. Harry Dunstan.
Donato is a TV producer who sings on TV and produces a weekly musical program
on cable Channel 19, the Montgomery Community Television station. His
musical series is aired every Monday at 4:30 PM, Wednesday at 8:30 PM and Friday at 7:30 PM. He and his associates sing
arias and songs selected from various musical categories.

Donato and his associates have recorded their songs on CDs and DVDs. These
recordings are available for sale on this web site.
